Q. What is CISS?

A. CISS stands for Continuous Ink Supply System. It is the means of supplying a continuous flow of ink to the print head of the printer without the need to change cartridges.

Q. What are the benefits of using CISS?

A. The main benefit of using CISS is the running cost of the printer. Now that the CISS itself has become very affordable, and buying ink in bulk has never been cheaper, the cost of the equivalent amount of ink in a cartridge is now pennies rather than pounds. Even compared to the cheapest compatible cartridges on the market, you are only paying a fraction of the cost. Secondly, the convenience of never having to change the cartridges when they run dry - because they never run dry! This means you can carry on printing and refill the CISS at the same time. No need to stop in the middle of a long print run.No More messy refills

Q. How does it work?

A. Special ink cartridges are installed in the printer that holds a small amount of ink. These cartridges are connected via small silicon tubes to an ink reservoir tank. With ink in the reservoir tanks, all the air is removed between the tanks and the cartridges. As ink is drawn out of the cartridge by the printer, a vacuum is formed that automatically pulls more ink to the cartridge via the tubes. Therefore, all the time there is ink in the reservoir tank, ink will continue to flow to the cartridge as required by the printer.

Q. How Continuous Ink System Works

A. The continuous inking supply system is very simple in principle. “Think of it as an intravenous drip for your printer” Ribbon tubing is used to connect the large reservoir bottles of ink to the print head. As the print head moves back and forth spraying ink, replacement ink is continually drawn through the tubing.

Continuous Ink Supply System are like those used by professional print shops, use large reservoir bottles of ink instead of the tiny,over-priced cartridges supplied by the printer manufacturer. If you're not familiar with the issue, some printer manufacturer installed chips in their cartridges to hold you hostage to their high-priced inks. As a solution, manufacturers of CISS had to modify a microchip so it always reads 100 percent full, no matter how much ink is actually in the system. Once installed, you never have to remove the CIS cartridges or system from the printer.

Q. How Good is Continuous Ink System

A. Here are some facts to show how good is CIS

No More leakage or damage from improper drilling of original cartridge. No more damage to print head caused by debris from drilling during conversion of original cartridge. No more unstable ink pressure resulting in uneven supply of ink. Completely Built-Up System with our own cartridges & IC chips. Can be of service for a long period of time Auto Reset Chips High quality professional ink No more running out of ink while printing Clearly see ink remaining Refill only color used up
